Social Change Through Spiritual Transformation

Our belief is that the Bayash live under a cloud of spiritual darkness that has existed for hundreds of years. The outcome of that darkness is whole segments of the culture being locked within cycles of destructive behavior. It is our conviction that these areas of darkness will not change until there has been a transformation at the level of the Spirit. It is our vision to see Bayash culture fundamentally changed at its core by the Gospel.

 

It is also our conviction that we should serve the poor because that is what Jesus has commanded the Church to do. Therefore we have a variety of social programs that are based on serving the poor whilst at the same time seeking to see spiritual transformation take place.

 

In one case we knocked down and rebuilt a small village. We have provided clothes, shoes and school materials for children of school age. We have provided firewood for families in need, a widows care ministry and other similar programs. The ongoing "serve the poor" vision is designed to bring the Biblical injunction into focus, Let them see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
