                               Jeanott Randimbiarison

                 Ethnomusicologist

Music is the language of the heart and it is through music that the peoples of the earth can sing praises to their God. The role of the ethnomusicologist is to assist existing musicians within a people group to reach into their cultural distictives and create a music of praise and worship that is uniquely theirs. One which uses their mother language and which will bring out of the listener and participant a love and worship for God.

Jeanott Randimbiarison is a musician from Madagascar working with Pioneers International and serving with his wife Julianna and two daughters, Tina and Mia, in Hungary. Pioneers will partner with the Roma Bible Union through the work of Jeanott to survey the music of the Bayash Roma people of Hungary and to assist in the development of a Bayash Roma hymnology. The goal of the Roma Bible Union with the help of Jeanott is to produce Bayash Praise and Worship music which can then be used in all countries where the Bayash live toward the furthering of the Gospel and the proclaiming of His Name in homes, villages, churches and on the radio.
